rachels-rants asked:
How did you get over the fact that your boyfriend was a scrawny Star Wars loving nerd? ( no Offense Eric)because my boyfriend is like that too,but it’s hard when people keep bashing on him.

Easy: I don’t see him as a scrawny, Star Wars-loving nerd.
Eric’s good qualities far outweigh anything superficial I might not be happy with in another guy. He’s so patient and funny. He listens whenever I’m feeling upset about something, and I know there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for me.
Oh, and he reads my body like braille.
Being in a relationship with Eric makes life a thousand times better than it ever would be without him. So I don’t see him as scrawny — I only see my cutie-pie.
Yeah, it pisses me off when people tell me I’m too good for him. But I know that we’re perfect for each other, and so does he. We don’t hang out with dillholes who don’t get that. Sure, our friends burn him sometimes, but we all burn each other — and they also know how great Eric and I are together.
Bottom line: If you don’t think of your boyfriend as a scrawny Star Wars-loving nerd, that’s the most important thing. Make sure he knows that, too. Plus, anyone who doesn’t get how wonderful he is — as Hyde likes to say — “ain’t worth your time.”
You both deserve respect, and you teach people how to treat you. If you let them disrespect you, they’ll keep on doing it. Walk away and enjoy your guy.

Donna, I love you so much. Now I believe I have some reading to do… if you wouldn’t mind being my book.
